Vision

To foster a culture of sports excellence at ICFAI University Raipur by promoting physical fitness, competitive spirit, ethical sportsmanship, and holistic development of students in alignment with national higher education quality benchmarks.

Mision

To promote inclusive participation in sports and physical activities as an integral component of holistic education.
To identify, nurture, and develop sporting talent through structured coaching, regular training, and competitive exposure at intra- and inter-university levels.
To inculcate core values such as discipline, leadership, teamwork, integrity, and fair play in accordance with UGC and NAAC quality frameworks.
To provide adequate sports infrastructure, professional guidance, and safe playing environments to support student performance and well-being.
To encourage student representation and achievement in university, state, national, and inter-university sports events, contributing to institutional visibility and NIRF performance indicators.
To promote physical and mental wellness, stress management, and a healthy lifestyle among students, faculty, and staff.

Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) - (Sports Club)

To foster active student participation in a wide range of sports.
To organize inter-departmental and inter-collegiate tournaments with respect to the House Team.
To represent the University at zonal, state, and national-level events.
To ensure equitable access to sports resources and infrastructure.
To create awareness about health, wellness, and physical education.

Eligibility: Open to all the registered students of the University and the Class Attendance as per the rules.
Enrollment Process:
- Registration via the Google Sheet provided by the sports coordinator for the first-year students every year.
- All the first-year students include in the Respective House named as ICFAI Avengers, ICFAI Dominators, ICFAI Challengers, ICFAI Terminators by the sports coordinator along with the existing House Team.
Code of Conduct: Members must adhere to the code of sportsmanship, maintain discipline, and follow safety norms.

Position	Responsibilities
Overall In-charge	Overall supervision, decision-making, liaison with university authorities.
Sports Coordinator	Supervision, decision-making, handles budgeting, maintains financial records, prepares monthly and annual reports.
Club Members	Supports the Coordinator and acts in charge in his/her absence.
Club Members	Coordinates activities, communicates with members, maintains club records.
Students House Representatives	Assist in event logistics, participant coordination, and result compilation.

Faculty Sports Coordinator: Mr. Hemant Kumar Dewangan

Regular Activities:

Weekly practice sessions for major games (Cricket, Volleyball, Indoor Games, Athletics, etc.)
Inter-departmental/house wise tournaments (monthly or bi-monthly)

Annual Events:

Annual Sports Meet: i-Spardha: held annually during January every year.
Participation in AIU/State/National-level tournaments

Event Planning Process:

Proposal submission (1 months before event)
Approval by Faculty Sports Coordinator
Budget finalization and logistics planning
Team and volunteer allocation
Communication via emails, posters, and social media
Execution and post-event reporting

All event and activity communication will flow as follows:
- Sports Coordinator and Members → Faculty Coordinator → Students Representatives
Monthly meetings for active updates and issue resolution.
Use of official university email and WhatsApp groups for timely communication.

Annual Budget: Prepared at the beginning of each academic year based on planned activities and approved by the finance committee.
Monthly Costing: Prepared for each activity/event with detailed requirement sheets and attached vendor quotations.
Expenditure Reports: To be submitted post-events with bills/invoices and a utilization certificate.

All students must wear appropriate sports gear during activities.
Attendance must be maintained for all club activities.
Mandatory first-aid availability during events.
Equal opportunities to all genders and inclusive participation.
Strict zero-tolerance policy on substance abuse and unsportsmanlike conduct.
Feedback and suggestions are collected after major events to improve future planning.
Maintenance of all sports infrastructure under supervision of designated faculty and coordinators.
